Undergraduate Research Grants

Through a generous gift from the Walton Foundation, the Honors College is able to offer undergraduate research grants, providing support for full-time students and their mentors.

For the October deadlines, students wishing to be considered for the Honors College Research Grant must apply for the SURF. Please follow the procedures for applying for SURF on the Post-Graduate Fellowships website.

International students are not eligible for SURF, but are (as honors students) eligible for the Honors College Undergraduate Research Grant and may apply using the research grant online form for the October deadlines.

Fine Arts students may also apply for the Undergraduate Research Grant instead of SURF during the October deadlines.

February 15 and June 15 deadlines do not require a SURF application. For these deadlines, students should apply for a grant in their major field of study. Mentors must be University of Arkansas faculty members.
