Pomfret Honors Quarters Information

Home to approximately 600 students, the Honors Quarters at Pomfret is the largest residence hall on campus. It features its own dining hall inside the building, a convenience store, two classrooms, meeting rooms, a music room, and a large lounge area.

The Honors Quarters consist of two houses: First-Year Experience (FYE) House and the Harold Hantz House. Entering freshmen must have a 3.5 high school GPA.

The FYE House is located in B-wing, a co-ed and substance free area. The First-Year Experience program is designed to meet the academic & social needs of first-year students by offering opportunities for students to interact with faculty and staff.

The Harold Hantz House is located in C & D wings of Pomfret. Returning students must have and maintain a 3.125 cumulative GPA. Three of the seven floors in the Harold Hantz House have special living learning communities: Business, Pre-Med/Science, and Air Force ROTC.  Room Dimensions are typically 9'-9" (W) x 13'-6" (L).
