Meet the Faculty
Dean's Faculty Fellows
Dean’s Faculty Fellows are nominated by the academic leadership of their home colleges. As fellows, they offer Honors College Signature Seminars on topics related to their current research programs.
We count on our dedicated faculty to teach honors courses, mentor honors student research, and write letters of recommendation. Quite simply, we couldn't do it without the faculty members who go above and beyond to provide a fantastic honors experience for our students. In return, we support your work with honors students with a variety of grants, which range from mentor funding to Faculty Equipment and Technology Grants. Working with a team of students and faculty? We've got you covered.
Honors faculty work hard to support honors students! To recognize their hard work and dedication, the Honors College has developed the Distinguished Faculty Teaching and Research Award, the Distinguished Leadership Award and the Distinguished Faculty Artistry Award.
Faculty recommendation letters should provide an honest assessment and only include topics in which you have first-hand knowledge. Please do not use “form letters” because they put a student at a disadvantage in competition with others who have strong individualized letters. Telling the student you don’t have time to write a letter is better than using a form letter. All recommendations are held in strict confidence and are not seen by the student.
